Susan Gail Sullivan-Weir MSRN aged 63, died on October 7th 2014 following a year long battle with cancer. She died peacefully at her home surrounded and supported by her loving family. Gail was born October 10,1951 at Ft. Benning, Georgia. She is the daughter of the late Meddie Charles Sullivan and Sally Jane Sullivan Soultaire.
Gail was a lifelong resident of San Antonio, graduating from Alamo Heights in 1969. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from North Texas State and earned her Masters in Nursing from Incarnate Word. Gail was an active member in the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Scottish Society of San Antonio, First Presbyterian Church and the Mayflower Society. Gail loved traveling, hunting and was an award winning skeet shooter. Her passions included researching genealogy and caring for others in her profession as a nurse.
She is preceeded in death by her father and grandfather Meddie Charles Sullivan, grandmothers Cora Chenery and Dora Sullivan, and son Charlie Weir. She is survived by her mother, three brothers, children, Joe and Alexa; uncle, Harold Sullivan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Service will be held at Sunday 2 P.M. on October 12th at Sunset Memorial, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
