Francisco A. Fernandez went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2015 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on January 29, 1933 in Rodriguez, Mexico, to Barbarita Fernandez Saavedra and Santiago Fernandez. He is loved and will be greatly missed, survived by his loving wife Zulema Fernandez; sons, John A. Fernandez and wife- Lupita Lopez, Jose G. Fernandez and Francisco A. Fernandez Jr.; daughters, Yolanda Pantoja, Leticia E. Fernandez and husband Rodolfo Carmona. Grandchildren; Leticia J. Fernandez and Rodolfo A. Carmona (Tony). Sister, Josefina Navarro Fernandez and husband Antonio Navarro. Francisco worked for over 50 years at Mi Tierra Café before he retired. He was acknowledged by television program “Mejor de lo Nuestro” and received a Special Recognition from the “San Antonio Restaurant Association” for his achievements in his career. Francisco had a passion for music, food and the game “word find”, but most of all for his wife of 59 years. Francisco was a loving husband, father, grandfather and compassionate man.
