Estella Ramon Trevino went to be with our Lord on December 12, 2019. Estella is preceded by her loving parents: Francisco and Aurora Tovar; sister: Olivia Herrera; and brother in law: Modesto Diaz. Estella is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years: Joe V. Trevino II; her devoted children: John Regalado (Maribel), Joe Trevino III (Leticia), Maria Christina Bondoc (Arturo) and Maria Leticia Tristan (Pedro). Estella is also survived by her 19 grandchildren,13 great grandchildren and siblings: Carmen Zaragoza (Gilberto), Luis Tovar (Esther), Dora Diaz, Aurora Medellin (Andres), and Rodolfo Tovar (Edna).
Estella was born in Mexico on May 28, 1943. Estella had many occupations in her life, becoming a migrant worker at a young age she learned the responsibility and the traits of becoming an adult. Estella was a fast learner and went on to use her knowledge for plants to work in a produce market and soon after in Elizondo Flower shop. Lastly, Estella worked with the elderly, retiring from Castle Hills Nursing Home after 18 years as a loving and devoted housekeeper. As time went on she gained her love and patience for life through her own personal achievements: her children. Estella was a devoted catholic parishioner and attended St. Bonaventure Catholic Church where she shared her hobbies of Knitting/crocheting, ceramics, drawing and painting with some of her friends. Estella also enjoyed novelas, cooking, cross word puzzles, loteria, card games and occasionally visiting local flea markets. Estella loved the water where she vacationed often: camping at riverside, visiting Corpus and H.E.B lodge. Estella was known for her inner joy, strength, bravery, kindness, her laughter, her radiant beauty, unwavering faith and her unconditional love for everyone. Estella had a way of making everyone feel special by her ability to make time for every single person in her life. Estella was everyone’s favorite and always had a positive outlook on life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, located at 2525 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio, Texas. A Mass of Celebration will be held on December 20, 2019, at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1918 Palo Alto Rd., San Antonio, Texas at 11:00 a.m., followed by a committal service at San Fernando III.
