Ernesto Rodriquez Velasquez

Ernesto Rodriguez Velasquez went to be with the lord on January 1, 2015. He was an exceptional man who served time in the U.S. Army and had a great sense of humor. He was a Green Bay Packers fan, a musician and singer, loved music, “Oldies but Goodies,” and always looked forward to spending time with family on the holidays. He was so lovable and will be missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, Damaso Velasquez Sr. and Francisca Velasquez, sister: Victoria Landin. He is survived by 10 children: Leticia, JoAnn, Linda, Elizabeth, Angie, Netito Ernest Jr., Richard, Orlando, Victor, and John Jacob Velasquez; 4 Sisters: Janie Lozano, Pomie (Toni) Landi, Angie Velasquez, and Margie (Florencio) Fernandez; 2 Brothers: Damaso (Beatrice) Velasquez Jr., and Willie (Ofelia) Velasquez, and numerous relatives and friends. A visitation will begin on Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd, 5:00 PM with a rosary to be recited at 7:00PM that same evening. A funeral procession will depart on Monday, January 12, 2015 8:00AM for a 8:45 AM MASS to be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Fort Sam National Cemetery.
