Enrique Rodriguez Moncada

Enrique R. Moncada entered into the loving arms of Our Lord on November 9, 2022 at the age of 95. He was born on July 15, 1927 to Marcos Moncada and Angela Rodriguez. Enrique was a veteran. He served in the US Navy durning World War II, Korea and then the Army National Guard. Enrique also worked and retired from Kelly A. F. B.

Enrique was hard-working and would do anything to provide for his family and friends. Enrique enjoyed going to the casinos. Amongst his other hobbies, he was an avid coin collector and loved doing all three of woodworking. Enrique would also volunteer his time to coach baseball for his son’s team. He was a scoutmaster for Troop 82. Enrique enjoyed going to restaurants with his daughter to include his weekly tradition of going to Cracker Barael for meatloaf.

He will be reunited in heaven with his parents, Marcos and Angel Moncada; wife, Maria Moncada; sister, Petra Deavecky; brothers, Daniel, Julio and Marcos Moncada.

He is survived by his children, Juan Moncada ( Ma Donna), and Teresa Moncada- Monge ( Juan); grandchildren, Nick (Erin) Moncada and Stephanie (Buck) Copple; great-grandchild, Jordyn Copple, Sister Jesusa Cook and numerous nieces, nephew and extended family.

Enrique made an impact on those involved in his life and he will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

A visitation for Enrique will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A rosary service will occur Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM, 226 Cupples Road, San Antonio, TX 78237. A mass of the resurrection will occur Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso, San Antonio, TX 78207. A committal service will occur Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at San Fernando #3 Cemetery, 1735 Cupples Rd, San Antonio, TX 78226.
