Emma Cecilia Despres

Emma is preceded in death by her loving parents; husband: Joseph Despres; brother: Roberto Piñeiro and sister: Nilsa "Tity" Perez.

She is survived by her three siblings: Noel Piñeiro, Elsie Piñeiro, and Laura “Cuca” Pérez; her children: Dawn Urbanovsky and husband Michael, Wendy Despres, Maile Despres, Joanne Benton and husband Erick; her grandchildren: Greg, Blakely, Jordan, Nick, and Jakob; and her great-grandchildren: Dylan and Everett.

Emma was a loving, caring woman who never met a stranger. She was friends with almost all of the employees at her local H-E-B. She had a tight-knit group of friends and neighbors that had grown to be close as family. She had a gift for sewing. Yet she enjoyed using it for the benefit of others, never herself. Emma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be dearly

missed.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
