Eloise G. Camacho slipped quietly away to be with God and her beloved husband Frank on August 22, 2014 at the age of 87. She was born May 30, 1927 in San Antonio, Texas. Instead of attending high school she began to work as a store clerk at Burns department store to help her family. She loved to dance at the Moonlight Inn near Helotes where she caught the eye of the violinist, Frank L. Camacho Jr. He turned out to be the love of her life and they got married October 19, 1947. They raised 4 children, 3 daughters and 1 son. She was a home maker with abundant wisdom beyond any diploma or degree. She was strong in her faith and became a great example for her family to follow. As a teenager, she became a member of St. Teresa Society and attended Little Flower Church. Later, after she married and moved to San Antonio, Eloise became a founding member of Holy Rosary Church. She enjoyed being in the St. Vincent de Paul Society, Mother’s Guild, Eucharistic Minister , Homebound for the Sick, Auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary, and Divine Mercy Messenger. She was devoted to praying the Rosary and wearing the Brown Scapular of The Blue Army. She devoted her time to her children by always being a Homeroom Mother, member of the PTA, and an active member of Helping Hand . She always participated in her children’s school functions. Her hands were always full of good deeds such as welcoming new neighbors or helping those in need. When she was blessed with grandchildren she gladly took care of them at her house. She was often their ride home from school. Her favorite things to do included sewing, embroidery, cross stitching, baking, cooking, fishing, bird watching and gardening. Eloise will be greatly missed by all the lives she has touched. Eloise was preceded in death by her parents Emilio Garza and Abundia P. Garza, her husband Frank L. Camacho Jr., her sister Felipa Garza, and her brother Emilio Garza. She is survived by her daughters Rose Marie Alonzo (Alex), Linda Mae Ramos (Roman), Alice Ann Almaguer (James), and her son Frank G. Camacho III ( Gloria); 9 Grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; her sisters: Ophelia Gonzales, Anita Hernandez, and Estella Camacho.The family will receive friends at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. for a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Friday, August 29, 2014 for a 9:30 a.m. Mass also at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
