Elizabeth G. Sanchez

Elizabeth G. Sanchez entered eternal rest on October 5, 2016 at the young age of 56. A native of San Antonio, Texas, she was born to Douglas and Rosalinda Ozuna on February 25, 1960. She has reunited with her parents and brother Juan; and is survived by her son Rueben Sanchez and his father Andrew Sanchez; sisters, Guillermina Bueno and Lilliana Herrera; honorary sisters: Alva Ibarra, Thelma Celestino, Desiree Davila; and numerous friends. Elizabeth received her Bachelor's degree in education from Our Lady of the Lake University and her Masters in special education from UTSA. She retired from San Antonio Independent School District after 28 faithful years. She dedicated her time to her students, family, and close friends. She enjoyed staying active running, conducting jazzercise classes, and working out. Elizabeth lived her life with determination, love and passion. Her contagious smile, undeniable beauty, and presence will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. The family will received guests at the funeral home on Monday, October 10, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A procession will depart the funeral home on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at 9:15a.m. to celebrate a 10:00 Mass of Resurrection at St. Henry's Catholic Church.
