Elizabeth Fischer, age 69, passed away October 4, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 22, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to John and Gussie Moore Siercorvich. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, John Fischer; daughters, Angie Artho and husband Damian, Alyssa Brodbeck and husband David; grandchildren, Allison Artho, John Artho, Nathan Artho and Aaron Artho; sister, Cathy Eberhardy. She was an active member of St. Anthony Mary Claret Catholic Church for nearly 30 years and the Catholic Church since birth. She loved praying the rosary and often would pray for other’s intentions-sometimes unbeknownst to them. She enjoyed crocheting which she learned from her Grandma Della. Many people are the lucky recipients of her famous coaster sets. No good deed or gesture went unrecognized without a thank-you note. On weekends she was going to Walmart or Target, and a place for a cookie and coffee snack break. To unwind for a vacation, you could find her hiking, camping, and fishing alongside her husband and children- and then her grandchildren- across state parks. She always had a pet dog that she enjoyed spoiling - something she inherited from her late mother. Her immediate and extended family was her most prized accomplishment and her most cherished blessing in life. She will be remembered most for her gentle kindness and eagerness to make others feel welcomed and loved. Visitation will be at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M Friday, October 11, 2019 at ST. Anthony Claret Catholic church, 6150 Roft Road, San Antonio, Texas 78253.
