Elisa C. Vasquez went to be with our Lord on August 27, 2020 at the age of 86. Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas on October 5, 1933, she is preceded in death by her parents, Ramon Cardenas Vasquez and Guadalupe Cantu Vasquez; and her siblings, Enrique Vasquez, Jesus Malacara, Ramon Vasquez, Oscar Vasquez, Eddie Vasquez, Bertha Vasquez, Otila Menchaca, Estela V. De La Vega and Manuel C. Vasquez.
Elisa leaves her memory to her sister, Maria Luisa V. Perez and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved her dearly.
Elisa was a devoted Catholic. She was a Cursillista, member of the Legion of Mary, Vigil ministry and Eucharistic Minister. Previously she had been very involved with the Cops Organization.
Due to restrictions on public gatherings, the visitation at Funeraria del Angel Trevino – 226 Cupples Rd. 78237 – will be limited to 25 people in the building at a time. Face coverings will be required.
The Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9 from 5 PM to 9 PM, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 PM. Family and Friends will meet at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church – 535 New Laredo Hwy. 78211 – on Thursday, September 10 for a Mass at 1 PM. The Interment at San Fernando Cemetery III will be an intimate gathering at this time. The staff appreciates your understanding.
