Elisa’s greatest loves were her family, faith, and teaching career. She cherished time with loved ones, found joy in their stories, and was devoted to her parish, San Juan de los Lagos Shrine.
Her 38-year teaching career was marked by dedication to her South San ISD students and colleagues, leaving a lasting impact on many lives.
Our precious matriarch has now found eternal peace, reunited with her savior, husband, parents, siblings, and other loved ones in heaven. Her selfless love has granted her loved ones a faithful guardian angel, and the same is true for all who experienced her warmth and kindness.
We will deeply miss you, Mother, and look forward to our reunion, while honoring your memory.
Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Marcos R. Gomez; step-daughter Olga G. Gomez; parents: Manuel V. and Elisa Y. Lopez; brothers Joe Zacarrias Lopez, Manuel Y. Lopez, Jr (Alice), Raymundo Y. Lopez (Maria); brother in law John Reyes.
Survived by her sons Mark X. and Manuel N. Gomez; step-son Marcos G. Gomez,Jr; sisters Melida L. Guerra (Jesus) and Josie H. Reyes; step grand children Chris L. Gomez and Carrie L. Gomez.
A visitation for Elisa will be held Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A Mass of The Resurrection will occur Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:00 AM at San Juan de los Lagos Parish and Shrine, with the interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
