Elisa leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Alfred Alvarado Jr.; daughters, Elizabeth Grace Alvarado, Cynthia Alvarado, and Elisa Vackar; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Armando Botello and Louis Chavez Guerrero; and sister, Evangeline Bassett.
Elisa meets in Heaven her beloved husband, Alfred Alvarado Sr.; her father, Elias Botello; mother, Louisa Botello; and brothers, Roland Botello and Louis.
Elisa was an accountant for retail and industrial organizations. She also attended college for financial courses.
Elisa enjoyed putting photo albums together, traveling, and attending social events. She and her late husband, Alfred Sr. both traveled together extensively. In San Antonio Elisa was president of the St. Cecilia’s parent teacher council for many years. She was also Den Mother for the St. Cecilia’s Girl Scouts. In Houston Elisa was a member of the Red Hat Society as well as the South Belt-Ellington Chamber of Commerce.
Elisa was a very social, gentle person. She loved to experience new things and travel with the love of her life. Elisa stood out for her hard work and skill at her job as an accountant at various retail outlets, including at one point Dr. Pepper. She never raised her voice at anyone, instead opting to “kill em” with kindness.
Elisa will be remembered for being very methodical and for her ability to reason things out, sometimes with comical results.
The Alvarado Family will be receiving guests for Elisa Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Sunset North Funeral Home, 910 N Loop 1604 E., San Antonio, Texas 78232. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM and a reception will take place after the celebration of life ceremony.
