She moved to San Antonio to attend college at St. Mary's University, where she met her husband, Rick. She proceeded to earn both her bachelor's and master's degrees in finance and flourished in the insurance industry as well as working as an auditor for the county courthouse before retiring. She was also a strong advocate for supporting those in need and regularly donated her time and resources to several non-profits in San Antonio.
It was in retirement that she was given her highest honor and title as “Nana” to her grandchildren. She loved to spend her Sunday hosting family dinners and playing with her grandchildren. She was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be dearly missed by all who were touched by her life.
