Edwin Gene Roper Sr.

Edwin Gene Roper, Sr. passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018, in San Antonio, TX at the age of 76. He was born in McGregor, TX, on November 24, 1941. He is preceded in death by his mother: Dorothy Lou Roper; brothers: Jerry Roper and Donald Roper. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years: Martha Joyce Roper; children: Edwin Roper Jr. (Rose), Marla Salazar (Alfredo) and Amy Delgado (Thomas III); grandchildren: Katherine, Allen, Amber, Victor, Thomas IV, James, Miranda, Vincent, Nicholas, and William; and many grandpets. Edwin was known as a family man and was a dedicated employee for nearly 49 years at the Massengale Armature Works, Inc.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 6pm-9pm at Sunset Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018, at 10 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery.
