He is preceded in death by his parents, Porfirio & Julia Ovalle; siblings, Porfirio M Ovalle Jr, and Ceclia Rangel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Cynthia C. Ovalle; children, Edward Michael Ovalle (Jessica), Anneliese Sanchez (Antonio), and Sandra Arvizu (Gonzalo); grandchildren, Edward Michael Ovalle Jr, Jacob Ovalle, Jonathan Ovalle, Ju!ianna Ovalle; Estevan Sanchez, Ray Sanchez, Eric Sanchez, Avianna Sanchez, Alyssah Sanchez; Olivia Arvizu, Octavio Arvizu; siblings, Frank Ovalle (Teresa), Juilia Medina (Concepcion), Alfred Ovalle (Sonia), Edna Villarreal (Honorato), Nora Luna (Martin), Joseph Ovalle (Norma), Peter Ovalle (Veronica), Stella McGraw (Ashton) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Edward worked for the United States Postal Service for 24 years. He enjoyed being with family and watching his grandchildren grow. He was most proud of watching his children graduate from high school and college as well as his time as a shop steward in the post office. He will be remembered by his family as having been an amazing husband, father, and grandfather; and as someone who's love for God shone through his actions and words. Edward made a lasting impact on so many people's lives and we are honored to have been able to share him with so many. Edward was a member of the Pastor's Sunday School class at First Baptist Church.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, 78211 with a Prayer Service to begin at 7:00 PM. On Saturday, March 23, 2024 a chapel service will be held at Trevino Funeral Home at 10:00 AM followed by a procession to San Jose Burial Park for burial.
