Dorothy Jane Kupel, born December 13, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on July 5, 2014. Her family was with her.
Dorothy is survived by her devoted husband of 57 years, Martin B. Kupel; her daughter Karen and son-in-law Nick Moursounidis; her son Martin A. Kupel and daughter-in-law Barrie Avis; granddaughters Sidne and Finn; and many dear friends and relatives.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; a gracious hostess and a loyal friend. Kindhearted and generous, with a mischievous sense of humor, Dorothy asked us to celebrate her life rather than to mourn her passing. Whenever we are gathered together to share a meal, to celebrate a special occasion -- whenever we laugh with delight, or sigh at the sight of something beautiful, or put the finishing touches on something we have made, -- we will ALWAYS feel your presence, Dorothy! Your encouragement and love will always be there for us, and we will honor your memory by passing them along to those we hold dear.
