Deborah Yvonne Harrell Davenport was born August 18th, 1959 in New Roads, Louisiana, to the union of Henry and Shirley Harrell. Having a strong Catholic faith in God and an overall faith, she understood that God would never abandon her and she departed this world for her heavenly home April 23, 2020.
Deb was a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and served her country honorably for twenty years. After retirement, Deb became a teacher, touching the lives of hundreds of elementary aged children, while also working at QVC, where she met many life-long friends. She decided a short while after being a full time mother was more important to her. Deb was a very outgoing person, leaving a lasting impression with everyone she encountered.
Deborah was one of the most kind, caring, and loving mothers who truly nurtured and gave her all to her children. Deborah Yvonne Harrell Davenport, was my wife of 34 years, and my loving companion, friend, and confidant for 37 years. Words cannot express the depth my heart misses her, and the void that can never be filled.
Those of us left behind to remember her beautiful smile, spirit and joy she brought to our lives include her husband Curtis J. Davenport Sr. children, Curtis J. Davenport Jr., Shirlyn Y. Davenport and Yolanda P. Comager, who she cared for as her own. She leaves behind siblings Theresa (Kenny) Thomas, Joyce (Alvin) Blanchard, Henry (Janice) Harrell, Aliska Harrell Monroe, Millie (Ricky) Simon and Theresa (Stan) Hoggard. Aunts: Dorothy Stewart, Lydia Crump, Mary Lee Crump, and Mary Crump. Uncle: Bernard Crump, dear friend Fernando L. Cordova and his family, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins with whom she adored with her whole heart.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Shirley Harrell, brother Joseph (Karen) Harrell, and lifelong sister and brother, Sandra and Warren DuBose.
