Mr. David A. Diaz born on August 8, 1919 in Mexico City went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2012 at the age of 92. He was the last surviving sibling of nine brothers and sisters. He accepted Christ at La Primera Iglesia Bautista in 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri and later became a Lay Minister and did medical missionary work as a T.I.M.E. for Christ member while at the First Baptist Church and the Getsemani Baptist Church in Puebla, Mexico. He was characterized by a deep commitment to God while always displaying a servant’s attitude to all those in need. Time for family was always a priority for him. He is survived by his wife, Enedina R. Diaz; sons and daughters-in-law, David Diaz (Rebeca Navarro), Victor Diaz (Norma),Marisela Leon (David Leon), Robert Diaz, Thomas Diaz, and Stella Diaz; also, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday July 26, 2012 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday July 27, 2012 in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Jim Bryant officiating. Interment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery No. 3.
