Daniel Edward Vega

Daniel Edward Vega, 55, passed away on May 8, 2023, in Plano, Texas. He was born on October 7, 1967, in San Antonio, Texas to Lucinda Guerrero Vega and Emilio Sanchez Vega. He was a beloved father, brother, and proud godfather.

Dan will be remembered fondly as a wonderful friend and hard-working individual. He was a member of the Catholic Community of St Elizabeth Ann Seton. He served in the United States Army Private First Class with an honorable discharge followed by a long-standing career as business leader in the retail industry with notable companies including: Home Depot, Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. Dan is universally known for his love of dogs (Zoey and Zeke), great sense of humor and impenetrable passion for his Dallas Cowboys.

Daniel is survived by daughters: Sierra Vega and Sienna Vega, siblings: Frank (Susan) Valtierra, Rick (Flora) Valtierra, Lucie-Marie Perez, David (Alicia) Vega, Diane Grinstead, and Linda Valdez; and a host of beloved nieces and nephews and his godson David Guerrero Vega.

Memorial services to celebrate the life of Daniel will be held on Friday May 19th open from 5 – 8:30 pm with a rosary service at 7 pm with funeral services at 9 am on Saturday May 20th at Trevino’s Funeral Home at 266 Cupples Rd San Antonio, Texas 78237.
