He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Doris Hensley, and two brothers Butch (Frank) and Jerry Hensley.
He is survived by his wife, Charline Hensley, son Reed, daughter Shelly, daughter in law Michelle, and 3 grandchildren Kylee, Colton and Ava. Also 2 sisters Sharon and Elaine, and many nephews and nieces, and other family members that he loved dearly.
During his life he enjoyed driving 18 wheeler trucks cross country, fishing, and being involved in his children’s activities such as school PTA, coaching their little league baseball teams, Boy Scouts of America troop leader, Girl Scout cookie dealer/eater, and sharing his knowledge of random “useful” facts and corny, yet sometimes funny, jokes. He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. The man could fix anything around the house or a car. You would only see him in pearl snap shirts, jeans, belt, and cowboy boots no matter the occasion or activity, including jet skiing.
His retirement years were filled by hanging out with the grandkids and grandpuppies, drinking black coffee, smoking, cultivating his lawn, and avid online computer gamer. Seriously he had the most luscious green yard, even in a drought.
Memorial services have been postponed during this national health crisis. Charline and her children would like to thank everyone, family and friends, for the all the love and support bestowed upon them at this time.
