Daniel Joel Cantu

Daniel Joel Cantu, born April 11, 1992 in San Antonio, TX, passed away on March 18, 2019 at the age of 26. Daniel was met in heaven by his loving brother, Christopher Cantu. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Domingo Cantu Sr., Juan Orozco; grandmother Inez Orozco; uncles, Carlos Cantu, Tony Ruelas, Carlos Orozco, Juan Orozco Jr., aunt, Eva Morales. Daniel is survived by his parents, Domingo and Jeanie Cantu Jr.; brothers, Eric S. Cantu and John Chris Cantu; grandmother, Elvira R. Cantu; cousin, Tony Ruelas; aunt Mary (Joe) Enriquez; uncles, Gabriel (Alicia) Orozco and Charles Morales; aunts, Helen Ruelas, Christine (Jesse) Contreras, Maggie Orozco, Andrea Orozco; uncles, Oscar and Ernest Cantu; nephew, Lyken (Chris) Cantu. Daniel attended San Antonio College, majoring in Psychology. He enjoyed sports, music, movies and loved to cook. As parents, it’s the second saddest day of our life. Once again death takes another son, from the oldest to the youngest. Truly we have lived through life’s darkest. We love you Christopher and Daniel, together in heaven. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home on Monday, March 25, 2019, from 11 am to 1 pm, with a funeral service to be held at 1 pm. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Reverend Bill Shockley.
