Cyrus C. Kaiser beloved husband, father, and grandfather went to be with our Lord January 24, 2013. After a lengthly illness, he passed peacefully at the age of 71. He was a resident of Live Oak, TX for 38 years. He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Army. He and his wife, Maria L. (Hernandez) married on August 14, 1971. Retired from Audie Murphy VA Hospital (Radiology Services) and University Hospital. He loved working in his yard when feeling good, he loved to smile, tell jokes never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria Luisa; mother-in-law, Rogelia Hernandez; two daughters, Kathleen M. Barbknecht & husband, Michael and Stacy L. Wengler & husband, Paul; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Ann, Courtney Marie, Marc Paul, Caitlin Brooke, and Aubree Cara. Other survivors include brother-in-laws, Rufino (Maria de Jesus) and Carlos (Barbara); and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 with a Rosary at 10:00 a.m. and mass following at 10:30 a.m. at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 3909 Harry Wurzbach Rd. Interment will follow at 12:00 p.m. with full military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Following the services there will be a reception at the Monsignor Martin Family Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Pius X Building Fund.
