Clarence Canales Calderon, age 69, passed away May 21, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born in Kinsley, Kansas on October 18, 1950 to Ernest & Maria Calderon. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
He graduated from Lanier High School in 1971. Mr. Calderon enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on October 1975 and was active duty for 2 years. He later was Honorably Discharged from the Reserves in 1981. He got married to Jessie M. Calderon on June 24, 1984 until his death.
Mr. Calderon was preceded in death by his mother, father, step-father and two brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie M. Calderon; son, Clay Alan Calderon; daughters, Jessica M. Calderon and Joanna Reyes Ugalde; granddaughter, Iris Jade Magallanes; sister, Gloria Emmons, and her three sons, Joseph Stegman, Eric Stegman, and Ryan Tabatabai; and numerous cousins and friends.
The Visitation will be 8 a.m., Monday, June 1, 2020 at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with the Air Force Military Honors and Funeral Service at 8:30 a.m. (Due to the current health concerns, the funeral will be limited to 50 guests). The Private Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
