Charles Terry “Santa” Williams went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 27th, 2021. Santa Williams was born in Corvallis, Oregon on September 29, 1943, to Richard and Lola Williams. He is survived by his lovely wife, Barbara Williams, and children: Scott Williams, Marci McCulloch and her husband Joshua McCulloch, Richard Williams, Jr and his fiancé Alexis Morgan, and his grandson Brady Charles Williams. Santa Williams is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Couch of Tahlequah, Oklahoma along with many nieces and nephews.
Graduating from Robert E. Lee High in 1963, Santa joined the United States Army and operated a crane during his tour in Vietnam from 1963-1967. Upon returning to civilian life, he attended Southwest Texas State graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a focus in Physical Education. Teacher, coach, umpire, & real estate agent were all hats worn by Santa during his career.
Along with life’s lessons, Santa brought joy and positivity to his family and the lives of all those he coached and taught. Santa’s passion for sports was unwavering. His favorite team was the Saint Louis Cardinals, and he disapproved of anything related to the Dallas Cowboys with an equal fervor. Through the years, Santa enjoyed spreading the Christmas spirit and listening to the wishes of all the young and young at heart.
Santa was often found smiling, joking, and recanting stories of past. Many times, all three captivating a small audience. Sensing his positive energy was palpable. His memory lives on through his sense of humor and love for life, which was extended to every person he met.
