Dear Stogsdill Clan…what wonderful people.  Bob will leave a huge void in your in life, but you will never have any regrets for the way you cared for him and involved him in your everyday lives.  Uncle Bob may have been a non-blood related uncle to me as a child, but he became a friend to me as an adult.  Bob was a teacher, not in the traditional way like our school teacher wives, but in our personal lives, whether we realize it or not.  His skill at teaching was amazing, because he did most of it with out even saying a word.  He taught by just simply living his life and by us being blessed enough to know him and witness his life.  The list of Uncle Bob’s teachings would be endless, concerning the life lessons we learned if we tried to put a pencil to it.  Many of these lessons have been studied well by his family, how to work hard for a living and provide for a family, how to be a good and loving spouse, parent, grand parent, family man and friend.  Bob’s lesson of friendship is the one I value the most.  By witnessing the friendship of Bob and Gloria and my Mom and Dad over the years, I wanted to emulate that relationship of love, care and just plain fun that they shared with each other.  I wanted relationships like that in my life.  I am lucky to say I have many close friendships because of them, but none as unique as I have with the Stogsdill family and my buddy, Wade.  Bob taught us well and we are all better for having had him in our lives.  I am upset and sad that Mom, Vicki and I can not be with you for the services to celebrate his life, but please know our family’s thoughts and prayers are with all.  John Jay and Vicki Hardy

Wade&Karen, Bobby&Shelly, Ric, and Barbara, I would like to express my deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you. Your father was a wonderful person. He has always had a place in my heart and always will. He was a good friend and like a father to me. Thank you for sharing him with our family. I know mom, dad, Gloria and Bob are all rejoicing over the good times. I know you will deeply miss him especially all the grandchildren. Know he truly was proud and loved each every one of you.  He especially enjoyed all the times he spent with you at the lake and sporting events. Know he is at peace now and he will be your forever guardian angel alongside  your mother.

Wade, Karen, Boo, Shelly, Rick, Barbie, Juan and kids,  Our hearts are breaking. We all know how hard this is for you.  Uncle Bob was such an important part of our family.  I have so many memories of him and Aunt Gloria.  I've been looking at old pictures and there aren't any where there isn't a smile on their faces.  Our parents sure had a great time together didn't they.  You know that Uncle Bob was the first man I called "Daddy".  We were all so lucky to have him in our lives. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. Mr. Stogsdill was one of the kindest persons that I think I have ever met.  His passion for life and his love for his family was so clearly demonstrated while exchanging conversation at baseball games. May sweet memories hover in your heart as God holds you close to His at this sad time.
