Carolina was known for her love of simple pleasures. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles, watching true crime TV shows, and always looked forward to her favorite game show, "The Price is Right". She loved to frequent Walmart and could often be found stopping by her favorite taqueria for a delicious meal.
Carolina was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was married to Luis C. Sanchez for 58 years until his passing in 2012. Carolina was preceded in death by her beloved husband, her parents, and her brother Ernesto S. Contreras.
Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She is survived by her four daughters, Elsa S. Guerra (Mark), Diana Sanchez Arteaga (Carlos), Rosemarie Flores (Danny), and Mary Lou Cervantes; her grandchildren, Jesse Garza (Cory), Stephanie Garza, Belinda Miles (Kevin), Gabriella Arteaga, Andrew Flores, Zachery Flores, Alyssa Sanchez, Amanda Kenyon (Zachary), and Abrielle Carolina Cervantes; and her great-grandchildren, Hayden Zambrano, Madeline Zambrano, Wyatt Miles, Lily Miles, Breyden Schultz, Mason Martinez, and Baby Kenyon; and her beloved dog, Chico.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at Roy Akers Funeral Home, 515 N Main Ave, San Antonio, Texas. A Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St, San Antonio, Texas, followed by burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, Texas.
