In her 88th year of life, Carole Anne Price passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 in Boerne, Texas. Carole was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on July 15, 1934 to Charles Evans and Mary Evans. She attended St. Annes Academy in Fort Smith Arkansas and graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Accounting. Upon graduation she was employed in Houston, Texas by the Shell Oil company.
Carole was a captivating Army wife blessed with many talents. She loved hosting parties, crafting, sewing, quilting and shopping for bargains. One of Carole’s greatest passions was competitive bridge where she traveled the world as a life master player. She treasured the time she spent at the bridge club with her closest friends. She supported her beloved husband, Major General Roger Price, in his 34 years of Army service. Their military life included domiciles in Rhode Island, Georgia, North Carolina, Kansas, New York, Virginia, Maryland, Texas and Germany. Carole’s warm heart and compassion extended to the four-legged, as evidenced by her close relationships with her cherished german shephards and siamese cats.
Carole is survived by her daughter, Lisa Price; son, Roger Price Jr. and his wife Melodie Price and grandson, Nicholas Price. Carole is preceded in death by her husband and her mother, father, and two brothers.
A private service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen organization or the Alzheimer’s Association.
