Yoli, Cande, Leo, Javier and family, it's been a little more than a year since our loved one passed away and he is truly missed. May God continue blessing you, his loved ones, with His strength, His peace and love. I am a childhood elementary friend of Cande and his sister Juanita.  My heart is saddened to hear of your recent loss.  I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Garza family.  It has been many years since I had not seen him.  Cande was a very special childhood friend of mine, has always had, and always will have a very special place in my heart.  He was such a sweet and beautiful person and I know that all who loved him will truly miss him.  Like mentioned in the other postings, I will always remember his beautiful smile and singing voice.  May God bless his family and all of those person's lives he touched.

I got to know Candy when we worked at Hardy Oak.  His friendly and cheerful manner was a blessing to all of us who knew him. He was conscientious and thorough about his work, and always went above and beyond. I loved hearing him whistle (and sometimes sing!) as he went about his work.  He will be missed!

Candy was a gentleman and a hard worker. He had compassion for everyone, no matter what age. I met Candy at Northern Hills and was happy when he joined the Hardy Oak family.  I will always remember Candy's cheerfulness, his smile, and how he whistled when he worked. And his, "Hello, Mrs. Pompa." I'm sure he greeted all of us this way, but it was a great beginning to the day. Prayers for all of Candy's family and loved ones. Cheri

God shared his angel, Candy, with us and we are all so grateful for this wonderful man whose kindness, beautiful smile and caring spirit touched us all.  Candy touched many with his "sweetness" and we are all better for knowing him.  I first met Candy at Oak Grove Elem. and was lucky to work with him again at Northern Hills.  Even though his time with us was short, we all thank God for sharing this beautiful man with us.  May God bless his family during this difficult time.

What a great picture of Candy!  I worked with Candy at Hardy Oak and was always amazed at his upbeat attitude. I never saw him get upset or utter an unkind word. Now and then he would serenade us with his wonderful singing. He and I joked around a lot on the radio and said we would one day be on Dancing with the Stars together! I will miss him and his calling me "Juanita". My sincere condolences to all his family.

I am saddened by the news of Candy's passing. Candy  was a wonderful family  man, a hard worker, and he had a great sense of humor. Candy's infectious smile would light up our school and he always tried to cheer everyone up.  Words can't express how much I will truly miss him, but I know he is watching over us, smiling, and sharing some jokes in Heaven!

I had the pleasure of working with "Mr. Candy" for 10 years at Hardy Oak Elementary. As the music teacher there, he was always so helpful to me--setting up the stage for programs and helping with equipment. Candy was a special person, and I'll always remember his quick wit and ability to make people laugh. After we would set out the microphones, he would playfully do his "Frank Sinatra imitation". I know he loved to play the drums, also. Some school weeks could seem long, so when Friday came, instead of saying "TGIF", we'd call out "Cha Cha Friday!",and he'd do his little cha-cha step. I'm sure that Heaven is rejoicing in having such a wonderful person with them.

Yoli, Cande, Leo, Javier and family, our heartfelt condolences in the loss of your husband, Dad and friend. May God ease your pain and may you find peace in knowing that he is now in a better place, rejoicing in the Kingdom of Heaven. Cande was a wonderful brother-in-law whom we loved, always ready to help, we will miss him dearly. May you find comfort in the promise that we will one day meet again. I am so very sorry to hear of Candy' passing.  I worked with Candy at Hardy Oak Elementary.  I absolutely loved him. His hard work and dedication to the school and his great smile and sense of humor has never been replaced.   
I pray for the family at this very difficult time and I pray knowing he is with our Lord in Heaven will bring you all peace.

Candy and I worked together for ten years at Hardy Oak and Northern Hills Elementary. He was a sweet man, hard worker, and a friend. He will be missed.

Candy was a fine gentleman and wonderful friend to so many in the North East School District.  He served the children and teachers day after day, year after year .......  always happy, always respectful, always generous, never asking anything in return. He blessed us all and we loved him.  Candy was a true Christian example and we will never forget him.  We offer our sincere condolences to his dear family.

Garza Family,  I have worked with Candy for many years both at Northern Hills and Hardy Oak Elem.  He was a very sweet person with a warm heart, great personality and sense of humor .  I have fond memories of the time I worked with Candy as well as the the many children who were blessed to have known him.  May God bless you and your family during this time, but know his spirit will live on in the many hearts that his life has touched.
