Brian Alexander Rodriguez

On August 14, 2017, Brian Alexander Rodriguez passed away unexpectedly at the age of 20. Brian is survived by his parents, Ida Rodriguez and Jose A. Rodriguez Jr.; his brothers, Jose A. Rodriguez III and Michael A. Rodriguez; his sister-in-law, Rebecca Rodriguez; his grandparents, Lina Garcia, Janie Rodriguez and Jose A. Rodriguez Sr., Maria Rodriguez and Richard Gomez; his aunts and uncles, Apolonio Garcia Jr., Paul Garcia, Sam Garcia, Gloria Aguilar, Jason Garcia and Jonnie Garcia, Charles Rodriguez and Amadita Rodriguez, and John Rodriguez and Delilah Rodriguez; and his many cousins, relatives, and friends.

Brian was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 11, 1996 to Ida Rodriguez and Jose A. Rodriguez Jr. He graduated from Lanier High School on June 5, 2016. Throughout his high school career and the better part of his life, Brian dedicated himself to helping others. He spent 8 years of devoted time at the Inner City by volunteering to help the kids in the community over the summer months. He created lifelong friendships and helped many people to overcome the obstacles they faced. In death, Brian continues to help change people’s lives by becoming an organ donor to give life to those who need it most.

Brian enjoyed music to the fullest. He became a self-taught drummer. He was often heard playing different songs at all hours of the day. He often wrote lyrics to his own songs that he would create during the late hours. Never was a time where Brian wasn’t listening to music. He loved all types of music, but his most cherished genre was Rock and Roll and Heavy Metal. Music was his passion and he often tried to learn new ways to express himself through his own musical creations.

Brian will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him. He has touched many lives and helped save lives even if he didn’t know that he did. He will live on through the memories he’s so uniquely created and the fun times that only he knew how to have. Brian was a special person who had his own distinct style of fun, laughter, and joy. He will be deeply missed.
