Bertha C. Vasquez

Bertha C. Vasquez went to be with the Lord, January 17, 2013 at the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her parents Ramon & Guadalupe Vasquez; brothers Enrique C. Vasquez, Raymond C. Vasquez, Oscar C. Vasquez, Jesus C. Malacara; sisters Otila V. Menchaca , Estella V. De La Vega. Bertha worked for the City of San Antonio Nursing Division for 38 years. She was a faithful and devoted worker. Ms. Vasquez is survived by her sisters Elisa C. Vasquez, Mary Lou Perez (Joe); brothers Eddie C. Vasquez (Eva), Manuel C. Vasquez; sister in law Maria Dolores “Lola” Vasquez, numerous nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. A visitation will be held, Monday, January 21, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:45 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. Visitation will continue Monday, January 21, 2013 at 5:30 p.m. at Our Lady Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1321 El Paso St. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home, Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass to be celebrated at Our lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mass will be celebrated by Ms. Vasquez’s nephew, Rev. Oscar C. Vasquez. Entombment will follow in San Fernando Cemetery III. Gentlemen serving as pallbearers; Adam Mireles, Balvino Jose Galan, Joe Perez, Joel Sanchez, John David Vasquez, Juan Manuel De La Vega, Santos Menchaca and Ramon V. De La Vega. The family would like to give special thanks to the medical staff at Southwest General Hospital, Select Specialty Hospital (Baptist) and Vitas Hospice for all of their care and support.
