Bertha S. Pereida

Bertha S. Pereida, 96, passed away on December 27th, 2017. She was born to Jose Sanchez and Celia Rodriguez Sanchez in San Antonio, Texas on September 25, 1921. She is preceded in death by her parents, her four older siblings, her husband of 68 years, Guadalupe C. Pereida and her son, Robert Pereida. She is survived by her daughters Dorothy Pereida and Becky Miles (Ken), grandsons Steven Martin and James Martin, great granddaughters Anna Clare Martin and Reese Martin, along with several nieces and nephews who were a joy to her in her final years as well as her cousin Isabel Ochoa.

Bertha was the happiest in her garden while spending many hours caring for her plants. She also enjoyed the Spurs and was a vocal armchair coach.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 9th from 5-9 PM at Roy Ackers Funeral home, 515 N. Main. Rosary at 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, January 10th at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church,on St. Marys and E. Mistletoe Ave. with burial at 10:30 AM at Ft. Sam Houston National
