Ben was the beloved son of the late Ben K. Wyatt Sr. and Olive G. Wyatt. Ben's legacy continues through his children, Tait A. Wyatt and Elise M. Wyatt, who will forever cherish the memories and lessons their father imparted. His wife, Diane D. Wyatt, his sister, Linda W. Duncan, brother-in-law Edgar Duncan Sr., and nephews Kenneth Duncan (Molly) and Edgar Duncan Jr.
An alumnus of St. Mary's University, Ben earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, which paved the foundation for a life of continuous learning and community involvement. Though, some might say the peak of Ben's achievements was his role as a respected Texas Master Gardener, a title in which he thrived and found great satisfaction.
Ben's passion for the outdoors was evident to all who knew him. He found solace in gardening, nurturing his crops with the same care he showed to his family and friends. His love for fishing, BBQ'ing, kayaking, and camping were more than hobbies; they were the ways in which he connected with the world and shared his keenness for life with others. A true Texan at heart, Ben was a proud fan of his Longhorns, Cowboys, and Spurs.
As we bid farewell to Ben K. Wyatt, we remember his spirit, characterized by his love for nature and his unwavering friendliness, which will continue to inspire and guide us. Though he has left our sight, the essence of who he was remains with us, in the gardens he tended, the fish he caught, and the countless lives he touched with his humor and kindness.
Ben will be deeply missed, but always remembered for his love of laughter and ability to find the humor in the everyday. He had so much joy for his family, which they'll always remember.
