He went on to Baylor University, where he met his future bride, Margaret Fay Moulder, and 4 years later graduated from Baylor University in May 1958. AC is survived by his daughter Dawn Halsell, son and his wife Doug and Susan Halsell, granddaughter and husband Mikayla and Garrett Ashley, and grandson Daniel Halsell. He is also survived by brother-in-law Weldon Moulder, niece Carrie Moulder, and numerous cousins on both sides of the family.
