He was preceded in death by his parents, Atanacio, Sr. and Estanislada Sanchez; siblings, Ruben and Josefina and grandson, Paul Michael Gonzales.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Teresa B. Sanchez; children, Michael Sanchez (Eva) of Floresville, Texas, Patricia Sanchez, Becky Chavarria (Daniel), James Sanchez (Stephanie), Steven Sanchez (Amanda) all of San Antonio, Texas and Lorali Villanueva (Jesse) of Abilene, Texas; siblings, Arturo and Herlinda; 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. Leonard Catholic Church at 1:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
