Antonio P Perez

Antonio is survived by his wife, Raymunda Elena, of 59 years; his daughters Catherine Ramirez (Daniel), Jean Morgan Mireles (Michael), Elizabeth Trimble (Donald). Antonio has 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents Leobardo Be’ar Perez, Escolastica Pesina Perez; his daughter Aida A. Elizondo.

Antonio was born on July 27, 1931 in Cotulla, Texas. He graduated from San Antonio Tech High School in 1951. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, he proudly served four years. He returned to San Antonio and accepted a position as a Journeyman in electrical and aircraft instruments at Kelly Air Force Base, where he worked for 38 years.

He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in music, playing the drums for the majority of his life. He was in several bands: The Embajadores band, Adolfo Jimenez Trio at the Red Carpet, the Robert Chavez Band, John Janicek band at the Navy Club, along with several other groups.

The visitation will be at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers Thursday May 4, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the Roy Akers at 11:30 a.m. for a 12:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection at St. Ann’s Catholic Church 210 St. Ann’s St., with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
