Antonio A. Ortiz was born in San Antonio, Texas July 23, 1933 and the Lord called upon him on December 23, 2012. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Elia B. Ortiz, brother Abel Ortiz, son Antonio Ortiz Jr. and grandson Jacob Gomez. Antonio is survived by his daughters; Sylvia Gomez (Raul), Angie Montez (Alfred), Margarita Zull (Mike), sons; Richard Ortiz (Rose Marie), Phillp Ortiz and numerous grandchildren and three generations of great grandchildren. He was a master meat butcher and worked at Swift for over 35 years. He retired and enjoyed life. Antonio will be missed very much and we love him with all our hearts. Visitation will begin Thursday, December 27, 2012, 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd., with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A procession will depart the funeral home, Friday, December 28, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass of Christian burial at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Interment to follow in San Fernando Cemetery II.
