Anna Marie Bradshaw entered eternal rest on February 11, 2012 in Boerne, TX at the age of 84. She was living at the Morningside Ministries Community of Menger Springs at the time of her death. Born in Brooklyn, NY on December 31, 1927 to Amundes and Agnes Nilsen, Anna or Ann Nelson as she was also known was very talented in dance and voice and became a performer in her teens, most notably with the Roy Thorsen Trio. Then she became a dancing instructor and married George Schiotis. “Miss Ann” as she was known to her students, taught tap, toe, ballet, and line dancing, besides acrobatics and baton twirling to many generations of children. She traveled extensively visiting Norway, Spain, Canada, Mexico, Hawaii, and most of 50 states and national parks. She always tried to incorporate an international flair in her dance classes. When she resided on Long Island, Anna was the Master of Ceremonies of many community shows, including leading the Elmont Elks and the YWCA Twirlers at the annual Memorial Day parades in Elmont, New York. Blessed with a beautiful voice, she also did much volunteer work providing the elderly with song and dance. Later she moved to Merritt Island, Florida, and while instructing adults in social dancing, she met Cecil Bradshaw and they married in 2004. Afterwards, they moved to Corpus Christi, TX, and finally to Boerne, Texas. She is remembered for always having a positive outlook on life and bringing others joy. She loved God with a child-like attitude and enjoyed going to church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Cecil Bradshaw, and George Schiotis, her sister, Aileen T. Feuer, and her son, Christopher Schiotis. She is survived by her children: Thomas and Cynthia Schiotis, Ronald and Helen Schiotis, Richard and Lynn Schiotis and Nancy and Peter Clarke. Ann also has 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and close friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m.to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Sunset Northwest Funeral Home, 6321 Bandera Road, and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Price of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd.
