Amalia M. Ruiz Salazar

Amalia M. Ruiz Salazar, of San Antonio, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born on April 17, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas. She was a loving mother, Nana, aunt, and friend to many. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Eve were her favorite family traditions. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith. She was the famly’s biggest prayer Warrior, blessing her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren every time they left house. Always keeping her family in her prayers. She was the family’s greatest blessing and will be missed very much. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Francisco M. Salazar. Her parents Carlos and Martha Maldonaldo and numerous brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children; Briselda (Michael) Porter, Lee (Emma) Ruiz Jr, Roger (Nancy) Ruiz and Marina (Joseph) Medrano. Her grandchildren; Roger Anthony, Eric, Aaron, Samantha, Christopher, Jacqueline, Nicholas, Julien, MarkAnthony and Brianna. Her great-grandchildren; Raymond Jr, Sebastian, Leonardo, Mylania, Aaron Jr, and Ella. Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family/friends. The family would like to thank all those who have kept her in their prayers. Also, Generations Hospice Care Incorporated, especially Natalie who took very good care of Amalia. The visitation rotation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. On Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. The rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. via live streaming through facebook that evening.
