Albert C Schultz

Husband, father, retired military, man of God: Albert Clifford Schultz passed away on August 4, 2022. He was born at home to John and Emilia (Millie) Schultz in Hallettsville, Texas. At age 13, he attended St. John’s Seminary with the goal of becoming a priest. His mind changed after completing high school. He joined the Army in 1954 and was soon stationed in Germany. He was a chaplain’s assistant before attending typing school, where he mastered the typewriter. While stationed in Stuttgart, Germany, he met Anneliese, the love of his life. He married her as soon as he could (1956). They celebrated 66 years of marriage on Flag Day, June 14, 2022. Albert rose through the ranks in the US Army and retired as a Master Sergeant in 1974. He then worked for the Civil Service, earned a Master’s Degree from San Marcus, and finally completely retired in 1994. He was an excellent bowler and enjoyed bowling in many leagues. Albert loved to garden, feed stray cats, and play dominoes, but most of all, he loved God and wanted to serve God as best he could. He was an active member of St. Thomas More parish as a Eucharistic minister, lector, parish board member, and facilitator of bible study classes. He set the bar high for everyone, but set it the highest for himself. He had an excellent sense of humor and loved a good pun. Albert is proceeded in heaven by his mother and father and his brothers John and Ernie. He is survived by his wife, Anneliese, his sons Randolph (Valerie) and John, six amazing grandchildren, three wonderful great-grandkids, his brother Charles Douglas, and sister Carol.
