Adam Guerrero passed away on November 30, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas at the young age of 40. Adam was born on June 10, 1981 in Austin, Texas. Adam was a newlywed, having just married Sandra, the love of his life, on November 6, 2021.
Adam graduated from the University of Incarnate Word in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s of Science in Accounting. In 2019, he became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for Ernst & Young for the last ten years and recently held the position of Global Compliance and Reporting, Tax Senior Manager.
Adam is survived by his wife, Sandra Guerrero (Hernandez); parents, Salvador (Kathy Chavez) Guerrero, Jr. and Laura (Cris) Amos; daughter, Anyssa Ortiz; siblings, Martina (Jack) Fine, Abel Guerrero, Maria (Chris) Zill; maternal grandfather, Dr. Lanny Beekman, DDS; paternal grandmother, Maria Carmen Guerrero; parents-in-law, Eliberto and Gloria Hernandez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Gloria (Eloy) Rodriguez, Elias (Dannick) Hernandez, and Mario (Yesenia) Hernandez. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Isaiah Hernandez, Noah and Elyssa Rodriguez, Ian and Camila Hernandez, Michael and Isabelle Klein, and Jude Sims. Adam was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Madeline Beekman, and paternal grandfather, Salvador Guerrero, Sr.
Adam had a passion for seeing the world. He and Sandra traveled across the United States, Italy, and most recently Spain for their honeymoon.
Adam believed in the power of fitness. He loved to improve the lives of others. His passion for CrossFit meant you could find him working out at the box six days a week. CrossFit was not only Adam’s place for a sweat-sesh, but it was also a community where Adam made countless friends over the years. Adam will be dearly missed by his friends at Tobin Hill CrossFit and CrossFit Mettle. A memorial workout for all his friends will be held on December 4, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at CrossFit Mettle.
Adam had a huge heart. He loved hard, and he loved selflessly. He left an impact and imprint on hearts of all his friends and family. He will be missed by all, but certainly not forgotten.
