Pete M. Sarabia

He was preceded in death by his Father Otto Sarabia, Grandfather Celistino Maciel, Grandmother Tomsa Maciel and Brothers-in-law Larry Heinrich and Earl Saunders.

Pete is survived by his Mother and very best friend Delores Maciel Sarabia, his brother Otto Sarabia, Jr., his sisters Rita Ybarra and Steve Bradshaw, Mary Ellen Dominguez, Rosa Sarabia Saunders, and Elsa Henrich, all of San Angelo. Nephews, Johnny D. Sarabia of Germany, Jamie Perez, Daniel Perez, AJ Heinrich, Randy and Molly Ybarra, Mark and Lucy Ybarra, Michael Sarabia, Johnny Sarabia, and Otto Junior Sarabia III of San Angelo, Gordon Saunders and Emilio Saunders of San Jose, CA , and Ricky Saunders, of Los Angeles, CA . nieces Juanita Rodriguez and Sierra Perez of San Angelo and numerous other family members.

Pete graduated from Central High School in 1979 and became his mother’s caretaker shortly after his father passed away. He enjoyed karate in his younger years and loved listening to music and watching TV. He really enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune with his mother. But most of all, he loved taking care of his mother whom he called Twitty Bird.

We want to thank Mark Stevens for always making time to take Pete to his errands. We also want to give special appreciation to Aunt Janie Ortiz for the special acts of kindness she demonstrated towards Pete. He really appreciated it.

A Rosary will be at 6:00 PM Thursday, Aug. 23rd, 2012 at Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday August 24th at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with burial at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Johnson’s Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Leon Langley, Alan Ross, Bruce LaPota, Kyle Rosene, Aaron Hess, Aaron Wade and Paul LaPota.
