He was born on January 31, 1945 in Mission, TX to Nicanor and Guadalupe Anzaldua.
Pedro attended McAllen High School and graduated in 1965. After high school he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He was wounded during his 3rd tour in the Vietnam War in which he received a Purple Heart.
Pedro married the love of his life Eloisa in April 1971 and had 3 daughters.
He received an Associate of Applied Science in Aviation Flight. During his career as a pilot, he worked various jobs such as herding cattle with helicopters, flying passengers from place to place. He decided he did not want to be away from his family anymore and got a job at U.S. Post Office in McAllen, TX.
Pedro was a family man. Everything he did was for the good of his family. His daughters were important to him. He did his best to give them a good life.
Pedro had 3 beautiful grandchildren. He retired from the Post Office to become a full-time grandpa when his first granddaughter was born. His job as grandpa was made even better when his second granddaughter was born. He relished being the man of the family. He finally got some company when his grandson was born.
Pedro was preceded in death by his parents, Nicanor and Guadalupe Anzaldua, his uncle and aunt who raised him, Domingo and Maria Anzaldua, brothers, David, Matias, Alberto, and sister Sylvia.
Pedro is survived by his wife, Eloisa, daughters, Cookie, Cristina, and Amanda grandchildren, Julia, Sydney, and Sebastian.
Viewing service will begin at 4pm on April 29, 2024 with a rosary at 6pm at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 10:30am on April 30, 2024, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens.
