An open house celebration of life for Marvine Kaye Shomaker, age 74, will be held Sunday, August 21st at the American Legion, 85 S. 6th Street, Newark, Ohio from 1pm – 4pm. Marvine passed away at her residence in San Angelo, Texas on July 27, 2022. She was born on November 15, 1947 in Newark, Ohio to the late William Delvin Shomaker and Marjorie Marvine (Franklin) Shomaker.
Marvine was a 1967 graduate of Utica Senior High School, Ohio. She loved working with her hands, learning new things and was an avid giver to many charities. She was a strong minded individual with a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children; Annette (Michael Miller) Baker, Steven Sharp Baker II, and Angelique (Delbert) Stankorb. Her grandchildren; Falisha Baker, Brittney Miller, Chasity “Brooke” Perkins, Kristina Miller, Joshua (Holly) Miller, Monique Webster and Dalton Webster; 11 great grandchildren and her siblings; Mary (Tom) Lewis, Marjorie Shomaker, Martha (Joe) Bennett, Margaret Francis (Donald) Driver, Robert (Becky) Shomaker and Allen Kevin Shomaker along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marvina Anne Spurlock and brothers, John, Timothy and William Shomaker.
