Marjorie attended San Angelo Central High School. She graduated in the year of 1962.
She married Samuel A. Green Jr. on June 1, 1962.
Marjorie was a member of several organizations, such as the Blackshear Ex Students, Northwest Lions Club, and served on the MLK committee. She was also a member of the Texas National Bowling Association (TNBA). She loved bowling. Her other hobbies were going to Bath and Body Works. She was not allowed to go by herself. Walmart, Sam's, and HEB will most definitely miss her face. She went almost every day.
She was also a member of the Baháʼí faith.
Funeral services for Marjorie will be Saturday, March 18, 2023 at 11am at Johnson's Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday March 17 from 5-7pm at Johnson's Funeral Home.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Clayton Ross and Irene Ross. She is survived by her husband Samuel A. Green Jr. and her children Detra Harris, Charles Green and Gabriel Green (Jackie). Her special son Yuel G. Harris. Her siblings Clayton Ross Jr. and Mary Ross Jones.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren, LaCresha Harris, Shuntaya Butler (Stephen), Micheal Harris, Stephen Green (Ariel), Joshua Green, Katherine Muncey and Kai Green.
Great grandchildren Zoriah, Anthony, Anyssa, Darrell, Kai'Lyrise, Kylyric, Mya, Yuel, Jaliyah and Jayven.
And a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family of Marjorie R. Green would like to send a special word of appreciation to Blossom Muncey-Kotrla, who willingly dedicated herself to Margie and her needs during the course of her illness.
Also thank you to the 5th floor nurses at Shannon Hospital, Arbor Terrace Nursing staff, and Solaris Hospice.
