It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Julian Alex Lopez, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, Tio, and cousin. Julian was born on January 6, 2008, in San Angelo, Texas to Ana Rodriguez and Carlos Lopez. Julian brought joy and warmth to the lives of those around him. His departure at the tender age of 15 has left a void leaving behind a legacy of love and affection that will forever be etched in our hearts.
From the beginning, Julian radiated a special light that touched the hearts of his family and friends. He shared an unbreakable bond with his little brother, Jordan, whom he cherished deeply. He took this responsibility to heart, earning the title of his brothers' keeper and wearing the badge of a proud mama's boy.
When Julian wasn’t playing basketball or hanging out with friends, he enjoyed working on trucks with his dad.
Julian had a unique way of expressing his love. In his quiet "I'm too cool" phase, he would enter a room and spread warmth with a hug that was uniquely his own, or an infectious grin that lit up the space. Julian would give anyone in need the shirt off his back. His love and light were constants, and his memory will forever be cherished.
Julian is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather “Tito,” Willie Rodriguez, his maternal great grandfather, Isaias Jimenez; his paternal great grandmother “Nana,” Delfina Flores and his uncle “Peanut” Gabino Garcia Jr.
He is survived by his parents, Ana Rodriguez and Carlos Lopez; his brothers, Xavier Lopez, Jordan Lopez, Jayden Perez, and Nicolas Flores; his maternal grandmother, “Tita,” Herlinda Rodriguez; his paternal grandparents “PoPo”, Daniel Lopez and Grandma Lisa Lopez. Julian is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and countless cousins who loved him deeply. In this time of sorrow, may we find solace in the beautiful memories of Julian, the "mama's boy" and devoted brother & son. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the love and light he shared with us all.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm, Thursday, January 4th, 2024, in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 11 am, Friday, January 5th, 2024 at Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery.
