Johnny Joe Zertuche

He was born to Jeff Zertuche and Gloria P. Zertuche on September 12, 1955 in Ballinger. He was a 1974 graduate of Ballinger High School. He graduated with his BBA from Angelo State University in 1978 and later earned his MBA from ASU. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and double minor in Chemistry/Range and Wildlife Management in 2002 from ASU. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus in Ballinger.

He was preceded in death by his mother Gloria P. Zertuche; grandparents Juan and Cruz Pallanez; and nephew Ryan Nagel. He was also preceded in death by his beloved companion, Bear.

He is survived by his sister Rosemary Charlton and her children: Raymond, Timothy, Amanda, and Samantha; brother Ricky Zertuche; sister Lydia Chavez and husband Jesse and their children: Jessica, Octavia, and Xavier; sister Brenda Jones and husband Blane and their children: Avery and Ashlynn; sister Monique Nagel and husband Shawn and their children: Jocelynn and Kelcey, and their granddaughter Ava; uncle Mike Pallanez; aunts Fay Medrano and husband Rudy; and Josie Cortez; as well as numerous cousins and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ballinger.
