She was born on January 25, 1940, in Socorro, Texas. Jessie was raised by her grandparents, Bartolo & Josefa Pena. Jessie married Roger R. Cuellar Jr. on May 11, 1963. Jessie was a proud member of Primera Church of San Angelo and had a passion for Children’s Ministry for over 45 years. She also led a Craft class for Senior Citizens know as the Golden Agers. Jessie will always be remembered for her craftsmanship in creating designer crosses for families who had lost a loved one. Jessie also had a gift for creating quilts and was an amazing cook. Green jello, turkey and dressing, and menudo were some of the family’s favorite. A prayer service will be held on July 28, 2023, at 7 pm. The funeral services will be held on July 29,2023 at 2 pm. With both services being held at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Survivors include her beloved husband of 60 years, Roger R. Cuellar Jr. and were blessed with seven children. Henry Ontiveros and wife Lucy, Fred Ontiveros, Rudy Cuellar and wife Carol, Eddie Ontiveros, Jeanelle Ramirez and husband John Ramirez, Jennifer Cuellar and partner Evelyn Hutcherson, and Jeff Cuellar. Jessie’s treasures were her grandchildren. Lisa Marie Lavigueur-Dorsey, Christopher Ontiveros, Freddy Ontiveros, Jr., Andrea Aleman, Marina Ruiz, Esperanza Ontiveros, Samantha Garcia, Tomi Jo Garza, Crystal Cuellar, Rudy Cisto Cuellar, Tisha Pacheco, Dave Pacheco, Brian Montez, Jonathan Montez, Mariah Luna, August Luna, and Justin Cuellar and numerous great grandchildren.
