Jerry Ray Montano, 57, of San Angelo passed away on Monday October 7th, 2019. He was born in San Angelo on May 10th, 1962. Jerry graduated from Central High School. He was a Manufacturing Tech at Ethicon, Inc.
He had a passion for Dallas Cowboys' football and would spend game days texting about the game with his nephews, Steve & David Mejia. However, Jerry’s biggest passion was his children. He loved to take his kids on road trips. He had a wicked sense of humor, he was always cracking jokes. Jerry also had an artistic side to him. He loved to sketch and & his creativity could also be seen in his dancing. He enjoyed different dance styles, but his favorite was “The Gopher Dance.” Jerry also enjoyed making home music videos with his kids. He knew how to work up his kids’ little appetites, and with his superb brisket, he would take care of their hunger.
Jerry is survived by his mother Faye M. Aguirre (San Angelo), brother and sister-in-law Gilbert and Shari Montano (Augusta, GA), his children Christopher Montano (Kuwait), Mathew Montano (San Angelo), Corey Green (Kansas), Jeremiah Montano (Philadelphia, PA), Kevin Montano (San Angelo), the “trips” Ayden, Braden and Caden Montano (San Angelo). He is also survived by his beloved nieces Nancy, Kristie, Stacey, Kellie, Inez & Nicole, as well as his nephews David, Steve, EJ, Eric, Estevan, Brandon & Jason.
Services will be held at Johnson’s Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at 3:00 pm with viewing commencing at 1:00 pm.
