George worked in oil fields all over Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Oklahoma. The oil fields fascinated him. He was an avid bowler, actually bowling a 300 game. His other passion was fishing; he carried a rod and reel with him at all times. A vacation for him was sleeping on the beach and fishing in the Gulf, but it didn’t matter if it was salt water or fresh water as long as there was water with fish in it.
He had many friends from his oilfield travels. He helped anyone who needed it even if it meant doing without himself. He will be sorely missed.
Special thanks to Dr. Robert Prieto, Dr. David Cummings and staff, plus all of the home health nurses and therapists.
Viewing will be held at Johnson's Funeral Home on Monday, January 6th from 8:00 AM until 12:00 noon, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery.
