Frances Ola Raymer, age 96, of Conway, Arkansas and formerly of San Angelo TX, left her earthly home on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab Center in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
She was born May 18, 1922 in Talpa, Texas, the daughter of Leonard G. and Minnie Ola Tate Norris. She was married to Luther Anson “Tuffy” Raymer in Coleman, Texas on May 7, 1938. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1992. She worked as an inspector for Hughes Micro Electronics in Newport Beach, California which was part of the McDonald-Douglas Aviation Company for over 22 years. She served her country as the faithful wife of a WWII POW and was a member of the POW organization. They later moved to San Angelo in 1978 where she lived until moving to Conway, Arkansas.
She is survived by nephew Wiley Norris and wife Paula of Conway, Arkansas who have been her devoted companions/caretakers while she resided in Arkansas. She is also survived by nieces Marcia Hurst of Plano TX, Shirley McAden of Dallas TX, Alta McDonald of Crane TX, Judy Marshall of Richardson TX, and Nita Brown of Abilene TX. She was preceded in death by her brother, G. W. Norris and his wife Juanita O’Dell Norris.
Graveside services will be held at 11 am Saturday, October 20, at the Voss Cemetery in Coleman County under the direction of Johnson’s Funeral Home in San Angelo.
